Coaching is not therapy, and it is not medical care

Life Extraordinaire provides health and wellness coaching. We are not a medical practice, a psychology practice, a psychiatric service or a counselling service. Our coaches are not acting as your doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, dietitian or therapist, and coaching is not a substitute for any of those.

Nothing on this website, in our workbooks, or in a coaching conversation constitutes medical advice, psychological treatment, diagnosis or prescription.

If you are unwell, see a professional

If you have or suspect a medical or mental health condition, consult a registered healthcare practitioner. Do not delay seeking help, and do not stop or change treatment or medication because of something you read here or discussed in a session.

In an emergency

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact emergency services on 112 from a mobile phone, or go to your nearest emergency department. The South African Depression and Anxiety Group operates a national helpline on 0800 567 567.

What we mean by "science-backed"

Our frameworks draw on published research in behaviour change, habit formation and leadership development. Where we quote statistics we should cite the source, and where we have not yet done so we will. General research findings are not a prediction about you.

No guaranteed outcome

Coaching depends on what you bring to it. We do not promise any specific result, and any example or testimonial on this site describes one person's experience rather than a typical one.

You remain responsible for your decisions

Coaching helps you think. The choices are yours, and so are their consequences. Life Extraordinaire (Pty) Ltd accepts no liability for decisions you take, to the extent the law permits.
